The Malaysian Chamber of Commerce Globalization Business (MCCGB) has officially expanded its presence in Thailand through the establishment of MCCGB Thailand, a regional branch dedicated to strengthening economic cooperation, trade facilitation, and business integration within the Asia-Pacific region. To lead this strategic initiative, the MCCGB Headquarters has appointed Mr. William Chan as the President of MCCGB Thailand, effective 1st July 2025, until current.

Under Mr. William Chan’s leadership, MCCGB Thailand is entrusted with the responsibility of representing the chamber’s mission in Thailand by fostering international business relations, connecting Malaysian enterprises with Thai and regional markets, and serving as a bridge between the private sector and international trade organizations. The appointment reflects his proven track record as Chairman of WHC Global Resources Co., Ltd, his leadership in the frozen food and global procurement industry, and his active contributions to international trade development.

MCCGB Thailand plays a vital role in promoting trade and investment opportunities between Malaysia, Thailand, and other RCEP member states. Its responsibilities include supporting Malaysian businesses entering the Thai market, facilitating Thai businesses in expanding into Malaysia and beyond, and aligning cross-border trade activities with international frameworks such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). In addition, MCCGB Thailand acts as a platform for networking, policy advocacy, trade exhibitions, business matchmaking, and collaboration between enterprises and government agencies.
